Does VaocherApp fee include payment processing fees?
Quick answer: No, it doesn’t.
VaocherApp’s fee is separate from your payment processing fee. We operate on a flat monthly model, so you won’t be charged per sale like most other voucher platforms. This means the only transaction fee you need to account for is from your payment processor.
But don’t worry—you’re not paying both on the same sale. You’re only charged processing fees once, either when the voucher is sold or when the customer pays you directly.
Example: You run a restaurant and offer a $150 set menu.
-
Scenario 1: Customer pays at the restaurant. They pay $150 by card. You’re charged a processing fee (e.g. 2% = $3).
-
Scenario 2: Customer buys a $150 voucher online and uses it later. When the voucher is purchased, you’re charged: Payment processing fee (e.g. 1.75% + 30cents =~ $3). When the customer redeems the voucher in-store, there are no extra charges.
Bottom line: You’re only paying fees once per sale, depending on how the customer pays.
Bonus tip: Vouchers bring in new customers—and some may never get used, which adds to your revenue.
If you wish to pass on our fee to your customers, you can opt to do so.
