Lightspeed Restaurant (K-Series) - Integration Setup
Connect VaocherApp with Lightspeed Restaurant (K-Series) to manage gift vouchers directly from your POS.
The integration allows your team to sell, issue, and redeem VaocherApp gift vouchers while keeping voucher balances synchronised between Lightspeed and VaocherApp.
This integration is designed for hospitality businesses using Lightspeed Restaurant, including restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels, and other venues.
Before you start
Before connecting Lightspeed Restaurant (K-Series), make sure you have:
- An active VaocherApp account.
- An active Lightspeed Restaurant (K-Series) account.
- Administrator access to both platforms.
Create a Gift Vouchers accounting group in Lightspeed
First, create an accounting group that will be used for voucher transactions.
In Lightspeed Back Office, go to:
Menu → Accounting Groups
Click Add Accounting Group.
Configure the following:

Click Save.
Create a Gift Card item
Next, create a dedicated gift card item in Lightspeed.
Go to:
Items → Create → Single Item
Configure the item:

| Price Type | Manually Entered Price |
Click Save.
Connect Lightspeed to VaocherApp
- Log in to your VaocherApp account.
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Lightspeed Restaurant (K-Series).
- Click Connect Lightspeed.
- You will be redirected to Lightspeed. Approve the connection request and return to VaocherApp.
- Configure the following:
- Business
- Location
- Gift Card Item
- Select the Gift Card item you created earlier.
- Click Save Changes.
Your Lightspeed integration is now connected.
Create the VaocherApp Web Extension
The Web Extension allows Lightspeed POS to communicate with VaocherApp.
In Lightspeed Back Office, go to:
Operations → Web Extensions
Click Create Web Extension.
Open your VaocherApp integration settings in another browser tab and copy your Web Extension URL.
Configure the following:

Click Save.
Add Gift Cards to your POS menu
To access VaocherApp vouchers from Lightspeed POS, add a Gift Cards button.
Go to:
Menu Management → Menus
- Open your active menu.
- Under Main Screens, click Add.
- Create a new button with:
- Name: Gift Cards
- Open the new button.
- Click Add Button → Web Extension.
- Select VaocherApp Gift Cards.
- Click Update & Reload Devices.
The Gift Cards button will now appear on your POS.
Enable Real-Time Notifications
Real-Time Notifications (RTN) allow voucher sales created from Lightspeed POS to sync automatically with VaocherApp.
Without RTN enabled, vouchers issued from Lightspeed cannot be created automatically in VaocherApp.
To enable RTN:
- Go to your VaocherApp integration settings.
- Click Copy Notification Template.
- Contact Lightspeed Support and request that Real-Time Notifications (RTN) be enabled.

Once RTN has been enabled, voucher orders created through Lightspeed will sync automatically.
Create a VaocherApp payment method
Create a dedicated payment method in Lightspeed.
For example:
VAOCHERAPP
After creating the payment method:
- Go to POS Configuration → Payments.
- Remove VAOCHERAPP from the accepted payment methods.
This payment method is used internally for voucher processing.
