SwiftPOS gift voucher and gift card questions

Does VaocherApp integrate with SwiftPOS?

Yes. VaocherApp connects to SwiftPOS through the SwiftPOS API. Each new gift voucher is created in SwiftPOS automatically with its balance loaded, so it is ready to redeem at your terminals without anyone re-entering it.

How do gift vouchers get from VaocherApp into SwiftPOS?

When a gift voucher is created, VaocherApp creates it in SwiftPOS as the voucher you mapped, using the voucher code as the barcode, then loads its balance as stored value. It happens in the background, shortly after the sale.

What is SwiftPOS voucher mapping?

Mapping tells VaocherApp which SwiftPOS voucher each of your gift voucher products should become. Several products can share one SwiftPOS voucher ID. Products without a mapping are not sent to SwiftPOS, so map each product before you start selling it.

Which vouchers are sent to SwiftPOS?

Gift vouchers sold on your website, vouchers you issue from the VaocherApp dashboard, bonus vouchers from promotions and replacement vouchers are all sent, as long as their product is mapped and the integration is enabled.

Can I sell SwiftPOS gift cards online?

Yes. VaocherApp gives your venue a branded online store for gift vouchers and gift cards. Each one sold is loaded into SwiftPOS, so guests can use it at the POS.

Do redemptions in SwiftPOS update VaocherApp?

No. The integration works one way, from VaocherApp to SwiftPOS. Once a voucher is in SwiftPOS, SwiftPOS handles redemptions and the remaining balance.

What happens if a voucher fails to send to SwiftPOS?

VaocherApp retries automatically. If the voucher still can't be sent, it shows an alert on your Orders page and our support team is alerted too. You can send it again, one voucher or a selection at a time, or ignore it if it does not need to reach SwiftPOS.

Can I get an email when a voucher is sent to SwiftPOS?

Yes. Turn on Push Success and Push Failure notifications in your SwiftPOS settings and choose who receives each email.

Can I pause sending vouchers to SwiftPOS?

Yes. Set the integration Status to Disabled to stop sending new vouchers. Your connection details and mappings stay saved, and you can enable it again at any time.

Are vouchers sold before I connect sent to SwiftPOS?

Not automatically. Vouchers are sent as they are created while the integration is connected and enabled. If you already have vouchers you want in SwiftPOS, contact our support team and we can send them across once your products are mapped.

What do I need to connect SwiftPOS?

API access for your venue, which SwiftPOS or your SwiftPOS reseller sets up. They can give you your Customer ID, an API-enabled Client ID, a Clerk ID, a Member ID and your Media ID. In SwiftPOS, the voucher you map to needs a Stored Value action. Full steps are in the setup guide.

Does VaocherApp charge commission on gift voucher sales?
